1. Where did you hear about Reincarnate?

i heard about this guild when a friend in the guild ask me to app

2. Tell us a little about yourself.

i'm 21 i listen to elctro house music and i chill

3. Explain why you chose your spec, and if you have an offspec, what is it?

i don't really have a main spec but right now i am playing aff for the timeing and destro is my off spec cause i missed ulduar days so i picked it up again

4. Post a World of Logs or equivalent (recount works).

don't really have an log or an SS of recount but am willing to hit the dummie test anytime

another thing there i don't have the ui dead set i am still playing with addons but of corse i have DBM

6. Are you able to take constructive and harsh criticism?

of corse its a game not like words are gonna me me cry lol

7.  Do you have a working microphone, ventrilo, and the brain capacity to know when and when not to talk? (A microphone is REQUIRED for raiding, no exceptions)

i have a mic and i genraly only talk when i get to know more people or when spoken too

8. What’s the most time you’ve spent wiping on a boss? How did you feel during this time? What were your reactions?

hmmmmmm i think ulduar was a time doing mimoron HM and comen soooo close each time but just falling short made me want it more

9. What were your two previous raiding guilds and why did you leave? (even on other severs)

last call they pretty much disbanded when i was taken a brake from the game

Robots in Desguise loged in one day and guild was disbanded by GM

10. Please tell us your raiding experience in:
a.     Vanilla -casual did come MC and BWL nothing to crazy
b.    BC -same as vanilla did some raiding like SSC TK BT and most of sunwell
c.    WotLK -Went hardcore in Wrath for the most part didn't really do TOC (simply hated the raid) but was active in both Ulduar HMS and Wrath HMS
d.    Cata –in cata i got defender of a shattered world pre nerf took time off so missed all of FL now came back and is already 1/8 hms in DS

11. We raid Tues-Thurs 7:00-11:00 PM Central Time. Monday's will be added in on heavy progression, and Thursdays possibly removed on farm. Will you be able to attend over 75% of these raid times? If no, please explain.

for the most part i should be able to make it work stuff is comen up so might slightly get in the way but none the less i try to get tuse & wed off from work

12. How can you improve yourself as a raider?

reseach is the key to improvement and ofcorse not standing in fire

13. Do you read up on boss fights prior to raiding? If so, what websites do you use?

i don't really read up i watch video's on youtube even if its not a how to video i can watch and figure out things in videos

I don't really get why you can't post a SS of your UI.  It's actually quite helpful for me to break down your warlock by seeing your button layout.  Plus, guilds like to know if you're a clicker or not ;)  Shows level of derp.

 

As for playing which ever spec the guild needs… oh we know you will.  That wasn't a question.  Either you respec for the guild or you leave.  But as for why you play the ones you do.  I understand.  I personally like aff.  Find it to be top dps.  But your OS.  Don't you think you would benefit more by having a demo off spec for AOE pulls/fights?  The situation of needing AOE burst comes up fairly often.  And you already have your single target spec (aff).  Just wondering…

 

Next, do you know how shitty logs are with dps based off of test dummies?  Slightly insulting that you'd want to use that as showing us capabilities.  Judging by your gear, i'm assuming you're raiding.  Just keep logs for a night or take a SS of your recount.  ;)

 

Thanks man and good luck with your app.  Minus those few things which aren't even really deal breakers, gear looks decent, stats are about right, gems… etc…

That doesn't matter at all for warlock, as long as it works for him. It's just about what you are used to. He's the one that stares at it all day.

 

A more relevant question on these things would be to ask him for his single target rotation/priority list. Sure, he can look it up, but even if he does you know that he knows it by the time he goes into the raid. Can you say that for everyone else in that raid yet? :)

Well, in this thread and the other one you guys were getting on people for button layout/UI more than clicking, which was what I was responding to.

 

As for keybinding though, that too doesn't make as much of a difference for dps as some of you think. At least two or three of the best players I knew in Incarnate clicked a few of their buttons (I won't call them out), and I myself played using a touch-pad. A warlock that joined Exordium at the same time as me used a default UI + recount/dbm. Performance is what actually matters. For a guild with a "high" recruiting priority for warlocks, its my opinion that you should be judging on more substantive things and not e-peen things. Gear, gemming, rotation, certain fight strats, reaction time, etc. You could play this game on a pineapple with your toes and I wouldn't care as a GM if you were one of my top players and didn't die. Obviously if he does click everything and it causes him to tunnel and react slowly in the raid, that's a problem. But if he has actually been raiding since vanilla like he says, whatever system he uses is probably pretty quick for him and a sudden radical re-binding change is probably only going to hurt him. Either way, its not that hard to key-bind a bunch of stuff just for a screenshot and then change it back, so you really can't know anyway. That's what most people end up doing when you make a big deal out of UI screenshots: They just pretty it up and change it back to what is more efficient for them after.

 

I don't really agree about the second part either. You have to still read it even if you copy and paste, otherwise you won't know what you are copying is correct. We all got our basic information from somewhere else at some point, it's the guys that haven't even done that who do the wrong things.

I always liked the way the guild Death Jester's recruited, because their application was only like two short questions. Then they would have the class leader and GM have a conversation with you in ventrilo while a bunch of other members were told to log in and listen (they didn't talk, and a lot probably weren't even paying attention, but they could whisper things they notice and want brought up to the other two). It sort of put you on the spot and made you answer questions and make it apparent that you knew your class. You can't bullshit people in a conversation like you can with a vague text question. They would ask you something like "What do you do if an add is about to die on a fight, how do you know when to stop dotting and switch to direct damage?" It doesn't matter so much what that person personally does, as long as they have an answer for it. And even if they don't, then you have a chance to tell them before they go into the raid. Another example is this guy saying he raided most of Sunwell in BC. I hope he isn't lying () but if he is, you wouldn't know unless one of you were talking to him on vent and you asked him something on the spot about it.

i have been working last cuple of days and also i mean witch do you want to hear about sunwell about how shitty the burn debuff was or how annyoning felmyst was in genral or even how that conflag if someone didn't run out caused a raid wipe muru and his annoying phases ugh i hate those kal and the portal phases so well sorta easy i mean ilidann being a 25 min fight that required no mess ups with the parasite deamon phase and what not infernal phase the old shears that use to take the takes hp to almost dead in one hit??

i'll be on all day tommarrow just hit me up in game at any time

Real question is when is Sheershot coming back to wow?
